2011 has been a busy year for Neil Cloughley. Having started the year doing instruction with Mercedes-Benz in the AMG's, there was a need to focus more on Aviation projects and as such, motorsport took a backseat for another year!
Plans are well underway to change this in 2012, following months of discussion with motorsport governing bodies and organisers, with regards the new FIA R-GT category for rallying and possible domestic versions of that category. Unfortunately, discussions have hit a road-block currently with the MSA who seem to have contradictory regulations in place currently, that need revision.
Plan B was to build something different for rallying, but something that would be fun and entertaining to watch, while bringing back a certain spirit of what Rallying used to be about. More details on this website as soon as we can release them...
In addition, Neil is part of a newly formed group of individuals that have been involved in and around the World Rally Championship in some way shape or form in the past, to create media/organising team for future projects.
In addition Neil hopes to compete in some UK National races in order to build up his signature requirements to compete in GT endurance races in the future. Will be interesting to see how he fares against the 'roundy-roundy' boys.
